Tooth Ache
The first treatment for a tooth ache is
to thoroughly clean the area. This should include brushing
and flossing.
Next, an over the counter anti-inflammatory
may be taken to reduce pain. Do not take aspirin which
can thin the blood and delay extraction, should that become
necessary.
Cold compresses can be used to control swelling,
do not use anything warm, even though it may feel good.
Heat will increase swelling if there is infection present.
Follow-up with your dentist for definitive
treatment.
